• PARADE: The Westport Fourth of July Parade begins at 10 a.m. at Fairview United Methodist Church and ends at the Episcopal Church of St. Peter by-the-Lake in Denver. Children can also play on a giant slide and jumpy house.

• OUTDOOR CONCERT: Ken Knox & Company performs a free beach/variety concert 6:30-9:30 p.m. on the lawn of Mooresville Town Hall, 413 N. Main St., Mooresville. The performance is part of the Town of Mooresville’s Music on Main concert series.

• FESTIVAL: The City of Lincolnton and Lincoln County Parks and Recreation offers children’s activities at a Fourth of July festival at 6:30 p.m. at the 100 block of North Academy Street.
