Stephen John Bissinger

CHARLOTTE – Stephen John Bissinger, 47, died May 22, 2014.

He was born Dec. 10, 1966, in Fairfax County, Va., to John and Marilyn Bissinger. 

Survivors include his parents; wife, Karen Murray Bissinger; daughter, Vanessa; brother, Jason and wife, Michelle of Huntersville; and sister, Karen Bissinger.

Funeral services were held May 26 at Assurance United Methodist Church.

Jerry Rex Suddreth Jr.

HUNTERSVILLE – Jerry Rex Suddreth Jr., 58, died May 22, 2014.

He was born Jan. 13, 1956, in Mecklenburg County, to the late Avis and Jerry Rex Suddreth Sr.

Survivors include his wife, Renota Drum-Suddreth; son, Justin Suddreth and wife, Nikki; daughter, Brittaney Suddreth Coleman and husband, Andrew; stepdaughter, Tiffany; and sister, Ava Suddreth McGee.

Betty Colleen Sayers Thompson

HUNTERSVILLE – Betty Colleen Sayers Thompson, 85, died May 22, 2014.

She was born Aug. 20, 1928, in Missouri, to the late James and Mildred MacGuire McNeill. 

Thompson was a real estate broker with Staffile and Haywood for many years. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Thompson; brother, Orlyn McNeill; and sister, Geralda Harbaugh. 

Survivors include her sons, Stanley Sayers, Stephen Sayers and wife, Catherine, Scott Sayers, Richard Sayers Jr. and wife, Gail Ruth Peckham, and Thomas Sayers and wife, Kathryn; daughters, Marianne Sayers, Suzanne Chelcun and husband, Ken; sister, Martha Harper; and nine grandchildren.

Services were held May 26 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home.

Michelle Qualey Barnard

HUNTERSVILLE – Michelle Qualey Barnard, 38, died May 19, 2014.

She was born March 15, 1976, in Maine, to Eloise Qualey.

Barnard was a labor and delivery nurse at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include her mother; husband, Thomas Michael Barnard V; son, Caleb; and brothers, Joseph and Shane Qualey.

Service were held May 23 at Christ Community Church.

Daniel A. Davis

HUNTERSVILLE – Daniel A. Davis, 56, died May 19, 2014.

Survivors include his mother, Phyllis Davis; brothers, David and wife, Lynda, and Timothy; and sister, Rebecca Davis.

Myron Duncan

HUNTERSVILLE – Myron Duncan, 88, died May 19, 2014.

He was born Jan. 12, 1926, in Champagne County, Ohio, to the late David and Thersa Duncan.

Duncan was a World War II veteran, restaurant owner and general foreman for the ironworkers building the Alaskan pipeline.

Survivors include his wife Lois; son, Charles Duncan; daughters, Debra Doyle of Cornelius, Nancy Weil and husband, David, and Lori Kay Finch and husband, Andrew of Huntersville; sisters, Joanna Purk and Teresa Scott; brother, Wesley Duncan; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services were held May 22 at Christ Community Church.
