TROUTMAN – Iredell County’s Fourth of July festivities kick off with the Troutman Independence Day Parade at 11 a.m. June 28 at the Iredell County fairgrounds.  

Veterans who have served in Afghanistan will be honored as grand marshals. They will lead more than 150 units along Main Street.

The Troutman Independence Day Festival will follow 5:30-9:30 p.m. June 28 at the fairgrounds. The Extraordinaries will perform a concert. The event includes a children’s zone, vendors, beer garden and cornhole. Fireworks will begin at dusk.

The Lowe’s YMCA July 3 Summer Celebration will feature performances by the Part Time Blues Band, The Glass Hammers and Pluto for Planet.

The event, which includes inflables, games and vendors, takes place 4-10 p.m. at Lowe’s YMCA, 170 Joe Knox Drive. Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. Details:

The Signal Hill Mall Merchants Association holds its Freedom Celebration 5-10 p.m. July 3 in the building’s parking lot, 1685 E. Broad St., Statesville.
