HUNTERSVILLE – Fabrice Fresse, a world language teacher at Hopewell High School, has been honored as one of the top international education teachers in the state.

VIF International Education announced that Fresse won a 2014 Global Educator Award and the Global Educator’s Choice Award.

Fresse, who is from France, was recognized with a Global Educator Award based on his submission of a comprehensive global lesson plan that illustrates his dedication to using dynamic resources and approaches to promote global awareness among his students.

“My aim (with the lesson I submitted) was to have students examine different countries and cultures that share a language so they understand that the world is not accidentally divided into these countries and cultures and that sharing a language also implies sharing a history.”
