Warehouse PAC presents short plays

CORNELIUS – The Warehouse Performing Arts Center presents its third annual 10-Minute Comedy Playfest, “Eunice's Beauty, Barber & Bait Shoppe.”

The playfest began two years ago with a call to writers from the Carolinas to submit themed comedies for competition. This year, organizers put out a national call for comedies, receiving 78 short scripts.

Seven entries were selected for this year’s theme: A 10-minute comedy with five or fewer actors situated in "Eunice's Beauty, Barber & Bait Shoppe."

Seven short plays, each with a unique, comedic take of what can happen at Eunice's, are brought together in a charming blend of theater.

The playfest starts at 8 p.m. Thursdays to Saturdays, Jan. 23-Feb. 9, and 2 p.m. Sundays, Feb. 2 and 9, at The Warehouse Performing Arts Center, 9216 Westmoreland Road.

Tickets cost $20 for general admission and $15 for seniors, students and groups.
