CORNELIUS – The Cornelius PARC Department will host a night of music and fireworks at Celebrate America on June 29 at Bailey Road Park.

Music lovers of all ages are invited to come early and bring their picnic baskets, blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy a free, outdoor summer pops concert.

Gates will open at 6:00 p.m. with children's activities and concessions by Kona Ice and Bruster's Ice Cream.

The Chad Lawson Trio will kick off the evening of music at 7:00 p.m., with the symphony following at 8:15 p.m.

A fireworks show will immediately follow the symphony's performance. 

Mike McKay of WDAV will emcee the evening.

Parking is available in the park, as well as at Bailey Middle and Hough High Schools, with free shuttle service beginning at 6:00 p.m. 

Coolers are welcome, but no glass containers or bottles, smoking, pets or open flames.
