HUNTERSVILLE – Alexis Nicole Reynolds, a 2009 International Baccalaureate graduate of North Meck High School, graduated summa cum laude from North Carolina State University in the University Honors Program with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Psychology on May 11.
Alexis is a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society and Sigma Iota Rho, the Honor Society for International Studies.
She is a member of and secretary for the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
During her junior year, she was instrumental in establishing and creating the foundational structure of the Honors Undergraduate Research Journal.
She was the recipient of the Robert J. Pleasants scholarship from the School of Public and International Affairs.
She enjoyed the opportunity to teach a NCSU honors seminar course as part of her capstone project on comparative constitutionality.
Alexis interned at the Wake County Magistrate Court where she conducted first appearances in disposition court, observed magistrates and small claims court and assisted at DUI checkpoints.
This summer she has an internship with Wake County Superior Court trial court administrator's office, where she will assist in moving cases through the court system and be a messenger for the judges.
Alexis has been accepted into the University of Notre Dame Law School and selected as a Concannon Fellow.
