HUNTERSVILLE – SouthLake Christian senior Kelsey Bundy committed to play volleyball at Asbury University, a 1,300-student school in Wilmore, Kentucky. Last fall, Kelsey was the Eagles’ starting middle hitter with a kill percentage of 41 percent. She had a passing accuracy of 92 percent and service accuracy of 93 percent.

“Not only does Kelsey’s raw volleyball talent impress me, but her leadership both on and off the court is something to be admired,” SouthLake Christian coach Katie Cook said. “Kelsey’s teammates look up to her and respect her immensely. As her coach, she continually impressed me with her level of maturity and composure during practices, matches, and team huddles.”

• SouthLake Christian Academy pitcher/infielder Devin Bagwell committed to Charlotte.  Bagwell is 1-1 with a 1.75 ERA in three appearances. In 12 innings, the Eagles junior has struck out nine and walked two. On March 8, Bagwell pitched a no-hitter against Providence Day to win 2-0. Bagwell is batting .263, with four runs and six RBIs.
