Roughly 100 people attended the inaugural Lake Norman Women’s Conference on Feb. 7 at Hendrick Mercedes Benz Luxury Auto Mall in Charlotte. They participated in a question-and-answer discussion with five local businesswomen: Marilyn Celenza, Julie Mills, Cristen Morgan, Robin Smith-Salzman and Deborah Young.

Other events included a fashion show and breakout sessions to discuss the future of business in the area.

Those in attendance at the all-day conference also took part in a Phil Horton-led team-building challenge and witnessed a speech by renowned Charlotte broadcast journalist Stacey Simms.
