DAVIDSON – Davidson Community Players announces open auditions for its June production of the Tony award-winning musical, β€œThe Pajama Game.”

The play tells the story of a trade union dispute set against a background of factory machines, factory hands, office workers and shop stewards.

Roles are available for actors, singers, dancers and tap dancers age 16 through adult.

Auditions will be held Feb. 3 and 4 at 7 p.m. at Armour Street Theatre, 307 Armour St. Callbacks will be Feb. 11 by invitation only.

Those interested need to prepare 16 bars of a memorized song to demonstrate their vocal range. Bring music in the proper key, and an accompanist will be provided. A capella singing is not recommended, and a dance call will follow the vocal audition. All who are cast will have the opportunity to take free dance classes from February until April.

Bring a recent headshot if available, list of theatrical experience and list of conflicts from late April through June.

Full rehearsals begin in late April, and the show will run June 20-29.
