Orchestra to throw dinner, concert

MOORESVILLE – The Lake Norman Orchestra will roll out the spirit of Christmas with a gala and concert Dec. 14.

“The Spirit of Christmas” begins with a dinner 6-7 p.m. catered by Addamo Catering, accompanied by a cash wine bar hosted by Daveste’ Vineyards at the Charles Mack Citizen Center, 215 N. Main St.

The concert starts at 7 p.m. The Academy of Dance and Fine Arts will accompany the orchestra for “The Nutcracker.”

Children to sip cocoa with Santa

CORNELIUS – Children will have the chance sip hot cocoa with Santa at the Cornelius Arts Center 9:30-11:30 a.m. Dec. 6 at 19725 Oak St. 

Children will be able to make ornaments, along with other holiday-themed art projects.

 

Parents, kids collaborate for recital

HUNTERSVILLE – Children will perform alongside their parents in “A Musical Winter Wonderland,” presented by Gerrie Daniel’s Christian Academy of Music on Dec. 14.

Performers will sing, dance and play instruments to both sacred and secular music in the free Christmas recital, which starts at 5 p.m. at St. Phillip Baptist Church, 524 Dellwood Drive.
