Quarterback Josh Stilley threw four touchdown passes and went past the 2,000-yard passing mark in last week’s blowout against North Mecklenburg.

This week: Vance

2. MOORESVILLE (9-1)

The Blue Devils take an eight-game winning streak and a ton of confidence into this week’s battle for the conference championship against Lake Norman.

This week: Lake Norman

3. DAVIDSON DAY (9-1)

Kudos to the Patriots for not being content. They upgraded the schedule from last year, and their season is filled with impressive victories.

This week: Concord Cannon

4. LAKE NORMAN (8-2)

The Wildcats take a six-game winning streak into this week’s chance to win the first conference title in school history.

This week: at Mooresville

5. WEST MECKLENBURG (8-2)

The Hawks looked strong in a 20-point victory on the road against Berry last week. Next up is rivalry time against a neighbor.

This week: at Harding

6. EAST LINCOLN (6-4)

The Mustangs dominated previously unbeaten Maiden 42-0 to clinch the Southern District 7 2A conference title. Apparently, the three forfeits weren’t a distraction.

This week: at West Lincoln

7. SOUTHLAKE CHRISTIAN (9-1)

The Eagles have played a soft-ish schedule. Two straight cupcakes isn’t how you should enter the state playoffs.

This week: Rabun Gap

8. HOPEWELL (5-5)

The Titans have won four straight games and are playoff-bound, which didn’t seem likely a month ago. It’s how you finish, eh?

This week: at Kannapolis Brown
