CHARLOTTE – Lauren Gibilaro and Sally Daggett have developed a website to support a region-wide effort to reduce the number of homeless pets.

Pawsitively Connected lists services that have been found to significantly help in reducing the problem of pet overpopulation. The website includes information about not-for-profit organizations that provide spay neuter services and/or pet wellness services within a 25-mile radius of Charlotte.

They plan on expanding the website to include a larger geographic area and additional resources.

“Connecting pet owners to low-cost, spay/neuter and wellness clinics appears to be one of the important links to effectively reduce the number of homeless animals in our community,” said Daggett, a Huntersville resident.
