DAVIDSON – Visitors to downtown Davidson can now recycle thanks to an $11,000 grant that will allow the town to add 11 new trash and recycling bins.

Each bin will have two sections, one for trash, one for recyclables.

Items that can be recycled include all plastic containers, rigid plastics, empty aerosol cans, milk cartons and juice boxes, glass bottles and jars, cardboard and non-shredded paper.

The project was paid for in part by an award from the N.C. Department of Environment and Natural Resources Division of Pollution Prevention and Environmental Assistance.
