On Jan. 8, the Cornelius Police Department was involved in a vehicle pursuit that ensued down I-77, but was terminated due to concerns about safety.

Earlier reports suggested that speeds reached up to 110 mph on South I-77.

This pursuit was in connection to a narcotics investigation in Cornelius.

Two other people, Tyrone B. Durham, 43, and Sean M. Younger, 43, were arrested at Harkin Drive.

As a result of the vehicle pursuit, numerous warrants were obtained on Andre Renee McCarroll of Charlotte.

McCaroll was arrested on Jan. 14 and processed at the Mecklenburg County Jail.
