HUNTERSVILLE – Graham Edward Via, son of Eddy and Kay Via of Huntersville, recently earned the rank of Eagle Scout.
He is a member of Boy Scout Troop 74 that met at Meadowlake Presbyterian Church.
His Eagle Scout project was building wood storage racks, cabinets to store building hardware, and resurfacing the flooring for Hopewell High School’s Theater Arts Department workshop.
This area is where the theater arts classes build the sets and props used in the plays and productions at Hopewell High School.
Graham’s father Eddy was Scoutmaster of Troop 74.
Graham has served in numerous leadership positions with Troop 74 including Senior Patrol Leader.
He is very active in the Order of the Arrow and has served on Mecklenburg County Council’s Summer Camp Staff for three years.
He is a freshman at N.C. State majoring in agricultural environmental technology.
Graham’s Eagle ceremony was conducted at Hopewell Presbyterian Church on Dec. 15.
