Harold M. Lamm
GASTONIA – Funeral services for Harold M. Lamm were held Sept. 22 at Hopewell Presbyterian Church in Huntersville.
Lamm, 76, of Gastonia, formerly of Huntersville, died Sept. 17 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
Born Oct. 13, 1935, in Wilson County, he was a son of the late Wesley Alton and Allie Mercer Lamm. He served in the National Guard and attended Hopewell Presbyterian Church.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Wesley.
Survivors include his wife Johnnie Felts Lamm; daughters, Marjorie L. Inscore and husband Tim of Raleigh, Valorie L. Cooke of Ahoskie and Angie Montgomery of Troutman; brothers, Thomas, Gerald, Randal, Bobby and Delmon; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Richard Thomas Driscoll
CORNELIUS – Funeral services for Richard Thomas Driscoll were held Sept. 22 at St. Mark Catholic Church.
Driscoll, 64, of Cornelius, died Sept. 19 at his home.
Born Nov. 10, 1947, in Roanoke, Va., he was a son of the late Clifford and Erma Driscoll.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving two tours in Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Pamela Neely Driscoll; son, Brian Driscoll and wife Anna of Charlotte; daughter, Katie Driscoll Hoyle and husband, Robert, of Raleigh; brother, Charles Driscoll and wife Donna of Richmond, Va., and sister, Donna Stover and husband Danny of Vinton, Va.; and grandchildren, Sam and Neely Hoyle and Ella Grace and Henry Driscoll.

HUNTERSVILLE – Funeral services for Joshua Emmanuel Smith-Josiah were held Sept. 22 in the chapel of James Funeral Home.
Joshua, 2, of Huntersville, died Sept. 19 at Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville.
Born Nov. 4, 2009, in Charlotte, he was a son of Jason Peter Smith-Josiah and Danika Daley Smith Josiah. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandparents, Marilyn and Carl VanHorne of Jamaica and siblings Jamie and Jayclan Smith-Josiah.
Brent Lester Popple
HUNTERSVILLE – Funeral services for Brent Lester Popple were held Sept. 25 in the chapel of James Funeral Home.
Popple, 50, of Denver, died Sept. 18 at Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville.
Born Aug. 26, 1962, in Dansville, N.Y., he was a son of Donald Roy Popple and the late Beulah Mae Brokaw Popple.
Survivors include sons Ryan Popple and Bradley Popple of Charlotte and fiancée, Katy Osmelowski of Pittsburg; daughter Amanda Howard and husband Gerritt of Catawba; sisters, Brenda Milanette and husband Alan and Erika Popple; brothers, Dennis Popple and wife Connie and Bryan Popple; grandson, Beckett Howard; and several nieces and nephews.

Doris Hooks Fortner
HUNTERSVILLE – Funeral services for Doris Hooks Fortner were held Sept. 15 at Huntersville Presbyterian Church.
Fortner, 77, of Huntersville, died Sept. 13 at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville.
Born June 30, 1935, in Iredell County, she was a daughter of the late Rusty Hooks and Lola Pauline Hooks. She was a retired bookkeeper.
Survivors include her husband, Roy T. Fortner; daughters, Lorie Overcash of Statesville, Jacquelyn Overcash of Palisades, Calif., Elizabeth Settlemyre and Jennifer Meadows of Mooresville; step-children, James Fortner, Myra Skinner and Elissa Huffsteller; grandchildren, Jared Settlemyre, Amber and Zack Meadows, Dylan, Jack and Liam Palladino; step-grandchildren, Emily Biggs, Adam Huffsteller, Jonas and Drew Skinner; and great-grandchildren, Isabell, Charlie and Lila Biggs and Jacob and Kara Skinner.

Foughner, 86, of Huntersville, died Sept. 17 at Levine and Dixon Hospice House in Huntersville.
Born April 30, 1926, in Baltimore she was a daughter of the late John and Margaret Kastendike. Survivors include her sister, Frances Seidler of Lakeland, Fla.; sons, Robert Brasse of AuSable Forks, N.Y., and Charles Brasse of Gulfport, Fla.; grandchildren, Thomas Brasse of Charlotte, Scott Brasse of Rochester, N.Y., Geoff Brasse of Monterey, Calif., and May Brasse of Los Angeles; and great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Rachel Brasse of Charlotte and Sophia and Carter Brasse of Monterey, Calif.
