CORNELIUS – The North Mecklenburg Animal Hospital, in collaboration with the Cornelius PARC Department, hosts the 12th annual American Dog Show on Oct. 6.



The event takes place 5-8 p.m. at Bailey Road Park, Cornelius.

Registration begins and vendor booths open at 5 p.m. The Shelter Strut Kick-Off Parade begins at 5:45 p.m., recognizing dogs that have been adopted from a shelter or rescue.

Contests begin at 6 p.m. and feature categories such as best dressed, best kisser and most unique tail. Registration costs $8 at the event and $5 in advance.
