HUNTERSVILLE – Jonathan Baughan, of Huntersville, has been called to serve as the new bishop of the Huntersville congregation of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
As bishop, Baughan provides ministerial service to about 400 members of the church. Outside of church, Baughan works at Deloitte Tax LLP.
Matt Burton, marketing director of Ally Bank, and Jared Tilley, finance director for Performance Fibers assist Baughan as counselors.
His wife, Lisa, ministers in the church as the head of the Stake (regional) Activities Committee. They have five children. Their son, Austin, is preparing to serve a two-year mission in the Amazon of Brazil.
The Huntersville congregation holds weekly services Sundays from 9 a.m.-noon at 148 Lazy Lane. Two other congregations meet at 7036 McIlwaine Road, Huntersville.
