DAVIDSON – DavidsonLearns, an adult education effort, will hold its first three courses this fall.

The courses, ranging 1.5 to 2.5 hours long, will take place from October to November at handicapped accessible venues in Davidson. Someone will contact students with specific locations prior to the first day of class.

“Our vision is to become a premier adult learning institute serving as a regional resource for any adult who wants to maintain an active mind and demonstrates a love of learning,” Amy Diamond, DavidsonLearns executive director, said.

Classes include

• Introduction to the Writing of Poetry: 7-9:30 p.m. Wednesdays (Oct. 17-Nov. 14).

• The Federal Reserve: 7-8:30 p.m. on Thursdays (Oct. 18-Nov. 15).

• Politics, Policy and Election 2012: 7-8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays (Oct. 17-Nov. 14).
