High school football scrimmages can begin Aug. 8. Here’s a list of scrimmages involving lake-area teams:

• Community School of Davidson – 7 p.m. Aug. 10 at the Forsyth Country Day Jamboree.

• Davidson Day - 7 p.m. Aug. 10 at the Forsyth Country Day Jamboree.



• East Gaston – 9 a.m. Aug. 8, hosting Gastonia Forestview; and 6 p.m. Aug. 10 against Mallard Creek in the Gaston County Jamboree (at Gastonia Forestview).

• East Lincoln – 6 p.m. Aug. 10 against Lawndale Burns in the Cleveland County Jamboree (at Boiling Springs Crest); and 10 a.m. Aug. 11 against North Mecklenburg (at Mooresville).

• Hopewell – 9 a.m. Aug. 8 at Olympic.

• Hough – 7 p.m. Aug. 9 at Butler; and 7 p.m. Saturday in the Black-and-White intrasquad game at Hough.

• Lake Norman – 6 p.m. Aug. 10, will host Concord Cox Mill.

• Lake Norman Charter – 7 p.m. Aug. 10 against SouthLake Christian and Concord Cannon (at Cannon).

• Mooresville – 7 p.m. Aug. 8, hosting Kannapolis Brown and Hickory Ridge; and 8 a.m. Aug. 11 hosting South Iredell.

• North Lincoln – 6 p.m. Aug. 8 at Gastonia Huss; and 6 p.m. Aug. 10 at Morganton Freedom.

• North Mecklenburg – 6 p.m. Aug. 8 against Kannapolis Brown and Hickory Ridge (at Mooresville); and 10 a.m. Aug. 11 against East Lincoln (at Mooresville).

• SouthLake Christian – 7 p.m. against Lake Norman Charter and Concord Cannon (at Cannon).

• West Mecklenburg – 6 p.m. Aug. 8 hosting Myers Park.
