The second annual conference takes place Aug. 8-9 at the school and is geared toward teachers, principals, policy makers, homeschool parents, college students and those interested in education.
Sessions will range from sharing interesting ways to use technology in the classroom to meeting the needs of all learners by integrating the arts into the classroom.
“We are concerned with all students,” Joy Warner, school executive director, said. “We hope to welcome area educators and parents from throughout North Carolina in an effort to engage in discussions and share ideas that will ultimately affect every student in our community.
Those wanting to attend should sign up online at www.csdnc.org. Registration costs $50. Participants can add an additional day of elementary, middle or high school classroom observation on Nov. 6 or Jan. 22 for an additional $25.
