Weston Oliver Sullivan Jr.
DAVIDSON – Services were held Aug. 12 at Davidson College for Weston Oliver “Skip” Sullivan Jr.
Sullivan, 55, of Davidson, died Aug. 1, 2012, at his home.
Born Feb. 16, 1957, in Charlotte, he was a son of the late Weston Oliver (W.O.) Sullivan Sr. and Helen Alexander Sullivan.
He was also preceded in death by brother Barry Sullivan.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Knox Sullivan; daughter, Sarah Sullivan of Nashville, Tenn.; son, Lucas Sullivan of Davidson; niece Kim Mercer of Atlanta, sister Diane Sullivan Hendrix of Charlotte, brothers in law, Rusty Knox (Danielle), Doug Knox (Terilynne), Mike Knox and nieces and nephews Trey, Tyler, Tucker, Raleigh, Emily, Joseph, August, Jacob and Kamryn.

Phyllis Jean Sheley
HUNTERSVILLE – Phyllis Jean Sheley, 74, of Huntersville, died Aug. 9, 2012, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center.
Born Nov. 8, 1937, in Washington, Ind., she was a daughter to the late Charles and Verna Sheley.
Survivors include her sister Charlotte Hooton of Huntersville, nephew Chris and niece Carrie Lang.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Hassie Lee Hutchison
CHARLOTTE – Services were held Aug. 12 for Hassie Lee Hutchison at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
Hutchison, 90, died Aug. 10, 2012.
Born May 24, 1922, in Haws Run, she was a daughter to the late William and Molly Parker.
Her husband Kenneth preceded her in death.
Survivors include son Keith P. Hutchison and wife Renee of Charlotte; daughters, Linda Sasser and husband Vann of Rock Hill, Vivian Weber of Charlotte, and Patti Beard and husband Roger of Huntersville; sister, Opal Daugherty of Charlotte; five grandchildren, Gabe, Courtney, Scott, Peyton and Lee; and three great-grandchildren, Lydia, Kaylee, and Cameron.

Hazel Gravitt Bradley
HUNTERSVILLE – Hazel Gravitt Bradley, 103, of Huntersville, died Aug. 10, 2012, at the Hunter Woods Nursing Home.
Born Dec. 28, 1908, in New York, N.Y., she was a daughter to the late George Heinrich and Martha Gravitt.
Survivors include her daughter Linda Stith (Gilbert) of Huntersville; granddaughter Monica Lawson (Leonardo), grandsons David Bradley (Natalie) and Jason Bradley; nieces Marie King and Amelia Gravitt; daughter-in-law Alberta Bradley and great granddaughter Chloe Bradley.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Grace E. Cobb Hagler
HUNTERSVILLE – Services were held Aug. 14 for Grace E. “Lib” Cobb Hagler at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville.
Hagler, 74, died Aug. 11 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House.
Born June 19, 1938, in Huntersville, she was a daughter of the late Isaac and Grace Ella McGinnis Cobb.
She was a supervisor at Magla Products for 25 years and was an active member of the Dilworth Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, her sister, Peggy Washam, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Floyd Hagler; daughter Deborah (Danny) Edwards of Charlotte; sons, Irvin (Debra) Hagler of Huntersville and Curtis (Kelli) Hagler of Newton; grandchildren, Thomas (Heather) Bryant, Tammie Edwards, Jason (Trish) Hagler, Justin Hagler, Matthew (Nicole) Walters, Stephen Walters and C.J. Hagler, great grandchildren: Morgan and Henry Bryant and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carol Jane Murphy Stewart
CORNELIUS – Carol Jane Murphy Stewart, 75, of Cornelius, formerly of Port Jefferson Station, N.Y., died Aug. 3, 2012, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
Born Dec. 15, 1936, in Newark, N.J., she was a daughter to the late John and Helen Murphy.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Stewart; daughters, Dale Newman and husband Jeff of Cornelius, and Jill Rudnick and husband Ken of Center Moriches, N.Y.; sister, Marilyn Prush of Smithtown, N.Y.; and grandchildren Matthew, Meghan, Connor, and Tori.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made her name to your local Humane Society.
