HUNTERSVILLE – With temperatures soaring into the 100s many seniors are having a tough time keeping their homes cool. To help combat the heat, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Senior Centers are providing 20-inch box fans to residents 59 and older, or county residents with a disability.
Limit one fan per person.
Fans can be picked up at the North Meck Senior Center, 16601 Old Statesville Road, Huntersville.
Seniors must provide a drivers license or state ID proving age and address. Those on disability need to provide proof of disability income and a Mecklenburg County address. For more information, call the senior center at 704-892-4041.
