Chick-fil-A hosts fundraiser for Team Camden

HUNTERSVILLE – On Tuesday, July 17, from 5-8 p.m., Chick-fil-A Northcross will donate a portion of all sales to Team Camden for 24 Hours of Booty.

Dr. Seth Moliver of Moliver Chiropractic and his wife Patti are teaming up with Chick-fil-A to help raise money for the 24-hour bike ride to raise money for cancer research. Chamber accepting applications for Leadership Lake Norman

CORNELIUS — The Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for its Leadership Lake Norman program.

The program is open to those wishing to expand their knowledge of the Lake Norman region. Leadership Lake Norman is a program to develop a group of informed, committed and qualified individuals capable of providing visionary and progressive leadership for the Lake Norman region.

The cost of the nine-month course is $425 for chamber members and $500 for non-members. Applications should be received by Aug. 24 to be eligible for the program. All applicants will be notified in writing regarding acceptance in the program by Aug. 28.

Each year, the Lake Norman Chamber Leadership Steering Committee selects a class of for a series of seminars and retreats. The group will hear speakers from the fields of tourism, health care, economic development, transportation, sports, regional history, the judicial system, and municipal government.

Chamber mixer at Davidson Beverage Co.

DAVIDSON — The Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce hosts a July mixer at Davidson Beverage Company. The event is July 17 from 5:30-7 p.m. at the store, located at 442 S. Main St.

Bojangles’ opens second restaurant in Huntersville

HUNTERSVILLE – Bojangles’ opened its second restaurant in Huntersville Monday. The restaurant is located at 325 Huntersville Gateway Blvd. The 3,800 square-foot restaurant seats nearly 80 people.

Like all Bojangles’ restaurants, the Huntersville Gateway Boulevard location will prepare all its made-from-scratch proprietary menu items all day, seven days a week.

This new location also represents an economic investment in the area.  The average investment made by the company for new locations is $1.7 million, and each new store creates an average of 25-35 new jobs.
