HUNTERSVILLE – Eliana Grace Vandekar, the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Vandekar, died May 26 at the family’s residence.
Funeral services are private.

Janice Mary Doll Perry
HUNTERSVILLE – Janice Mary Doll Perry, 76, of Huntersville, died May 27, 2012, at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville after complications from a heart attack and massive stroke she suffered on May 3.
Born March 31, 1936, in Wamego, Kan., she was a daughter of Loretta Marie Seitz Doll of Topeka, Kan. and the late Charles John Doll.
Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her husband of 53 years,
Donald Lee Perry, of Huntersville; daughter, Susan E. Perry-Graham and husband, Gene, of Cornelius; son, David L. Perry, of Huntersville; granddaughter,
Savanna L. Perry, of Huntersville; sisters, Carol Ann Gooch, of Ballwin, Mo., Cyrilla Lee of Topeka, Kan.; five nephews and two nieces.
Services were held Tuesday, June 5, at Saint Mark Catholic Church in Huntersville with Richard Bellow and Deacon Louis Pais officiating.
Burial will take place at the Nebo Memorial Park Cemetery in Martinsville, Ind. at a later date.

George Robert Walter
CORNELIUS – George “Blue”
Robert Walter, 69 of Cornelius, died May 29, 2012, at his home. Born Nov. 29, 1942, in Baton Rouge La., he was a son of the late George Pierce Walter and Alice Katherine Boyd Walter.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired computer technician.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Mary Angela McIntyer Walter; sons, Scott and Todd Walter; daughters, Wendy Dahlberg, Kimberly Walter, Angela Figueiredo, Elizabeth Walter, Melissa Janelle, Jennifer Walter and 11 grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday, June 2, at the pool of the Marina Shores Apartments in Cornelius.

JoEllen Fowler Hunt
HUNTERSVILLE – JoEllen Fowler Hunt, 60, of Huntersville, formerly of Gibson, died May 31, 2012, at the Levine & Dickson Hospice House.
Born Aug. 13, 1951, in Laurinburg, S.C. she was a daughter of the late
Leroy and Evelyn Hatcher Fowler.
Survivors include her son, Franklin Hewitt and wife, Belinda, of Honolulu, Hawaii and three grandchildren.
A private service will be held.
James Funeral Home in Huntersville is serving the family.
CORNELIUS – Steve Stoffa, 81, of Cornelius, died May 30, 2012, at the Serenity House in Mooresville.
Born Dec. 31, 1930, in Passaic, N.J., he was a son of the late John and Tillie Suflat Stoffa.
He was the retired head custodian at Helen Smith School in New Jersey and was a member of the VFW of Wallington, N.J.
Including his parents he was preceded in death by his sister.
Survivors include wife Arlene; daughters, Debbie Mendyk and her husband, Paul, Cheryl Dotoli and her husband, Lou, son; Steve Brian Stoffa, three grandchildren; Justin, Eric, and
