Health departments in Iredell and and Mecklenburg counties inspected the following Lake Norman-area restaurants June 4-8:

Scores under 95

• Dragon Buffet, 20430 W. Catawba Ave., Cornelius – 94

Inspector’s comments include: Raw chicken was  not stored according to final cook temperature. Raw ground pork was stored above ready-to-eat foods. Cooked chicken was cooled in reach-in cooler instead of walk-in cooler. Prep table’s wood surface was peeling off. Women’s bathroom and beverage station sink didn’t have hot water. Kitchen walls had food residue.

• The Cook House, 20936 Torrence Chapel Road, Cornelius – 94.5

Inspector’s comments include: Dish machine wasn’t sanitizing properly. Raw eggs were beside grill at 62 degrees. Potentially hazardous foods were not cooled using proper technique.

• Sebastiano’s, 862 Brawley School Road, Mooresville – 93

Inspector’s comments include: Mixer had old pizza dough on it. Pizza display didn’t have cook times displayed. Screen door needs repair. Seafood, ground burger and bacon were not stored according to final cook temperature. Bread used to make breadcrumbs was stored beside trashcan and wasn’t covered.

• The Daily Grind, 170 N. Main St., Mooresville – 93.5

Inspector’s comments include: Employee drink was on edge of grill. Dirty rags were in hand wash sink. Sanitizer was not at correct sink. Cutting board needed to be replaced. Floor had broken tiles.
