CORNELIUS – Jessica Ekstrom, a Cornelius native and N.C. State University student, has expanded the line of headbands available from her company, Headbands of Hope. For each headband purchased from Headbands of Hope, one headband is donated to a girl with cancer and $1 is donated to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a volunteer-driven charity dedicated to raising money for childhood cancer research.
Elsktrom says the headbands help girls keep their feminine identity and serve as a constant reminder that they are not alone.
Specially made Classic Shabby and Skinny Shabby headbands are now available at www.headbandsofhope.org along with the Go Glitter band.
