CORNELIUS – Auditions for a student-produced and directed musical production of “The Fantasticks” will be held at Warehouse Performing Arts Center, 9216-A Westmoreland Road, Thursday and Friday, June 7 and 8, from 6-8 p.m. Male actors age 20 and older are encouraged to audition for the adult roles.

Actors must be prepared to do cold readings from the script. Those auditioning for singing roles should prepare 16 bars of a musical theater number and be prepared to sing a cappella. Bring sheet music if starting pitch or harmonic bass is needed.

Available roles include the narrator (a strong A flat-high G baritone voice;) Bellomy (an A high F-sharp baritone;) Hucklebee (an A high-F sharp baritone;) Henry (a non-singing role and the show’s comic relief;) Mortimer (a non-singing character who speaks with a Cockney accent,) and the mute who can be male or female.

Actors must be available for rehearsals evenings (approximately 6 to 9:30 p.m.) and weekends from mid-June until the performances conclude Aug. 12. Stipends will be available. Email Austin Larkin at to learn more.
