Fuller shoots career-best in AJGA debut

DAVIDSON – Kyle Fuller, a sophomore golfer at Davidson Day School, finished fourth among 75 golfers in the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) last weekend. Fuller shot a career-best two-round score of 144 (70-74) in the AJGA IMG Chateau Elan Tournament in Braselton, Ga.

Fuller will next play in the U.S. Golf Association Junior Amateur sectional qualifying in late June. Fuller shot a par-72 to win the Southern Piedmont Athletic Association conference tournament May 1 at Catawba Country Club in Newton. Fuller was the individual medalist for the second consecutive year.

Davidson Day has full slate of summer camps

DAVIDSON – Davidson Day will hold basketball camps June 11-15 and July 17-20 as part of it summer camp schedule in several sports. HUNTERSVILLE – Lake Norman Charter will host a volleyball camp June 11-12 for players ages 8-13. The camp, to be held at the middle school gym, will be from 9 a.m. to noon each day. Cost is $55. Register for benefit golf tournament

CHARLOTTE - The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Senior Centers Golf Classic will be June 18 at Pine Island Country Club in Charlotte. Proceeds will help CMSC continue serving more than 4,000 older adults each year at four locations in Mecklenburg County, including the North Mecklenburg Senior Center in Huntersville.

Registration and breakfast will begin at 8 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 9 a.m. and an awards luncheon.
