CHARLOTTE – Duke Energy is reminding customers that digging in the yard for gardening, fencing or other projects, can lead to accidental contact with underground electric power lines, natural gas lines, communication lines, water lines and other utility services.

Call 811 and a Duke Energy team will mark locations of underground wires and pipes for homeowners.
