HUNTERSVILLE – Pine Lake Preparatory students Macey, Michael and Campbell Timmerman asked friends to raise money for Cookies 4 a Cause instead of birthday presents.

Cookies 4 a Cause promotes the health, development and care of children. This year, the nonprofit is collecting cookies for Barium Springs Home for Children.

The Timmerman family brought kids who helped raise $500 for the charity on a Hummer-limo tour of downtown Charlotte. The triplets turned 7 years old.
