HUNTERSVILLE – The Charlotte Observer reported Sunday, April 1, that Huntersville Commissioner Danny Phillips owed Mecklenburg County $9,119 on his Beatties Ford Road home. But the first term commissioner has since paid the balance. Phillips does not owe the county taxes on that property as of Tuesday, April 3, according to the tax assessor’s office.
