DAVIDSON – Davidson College hosted the ICE gala to benefit the Ada Jenkins Center on March 3. More than 200 attendees enjoyed food and bid on auction items, including a condo in Daytona, Daytona 500 tickets, jewelry and sports memorabilia.
Guests had an opportunity to “adopt” a child, paying the fee for a child in need to attend LEARNWorks at Ada Jenkins. Funds raised will help the center continue LEARNWorks, an after school tutoring program for at-risk local elementary school students; the Mobile Community Dental Clinic; and Ada Jenkins’ free medical clinic.
For more information on Ada Jenkins and the center’s programs in Davidson, Cornelius, Huntersville and south Iredell citizens, visit www.adajenkins.org.
