DAVIDSON – The community can view artwork from many budding Davidson Elementary School artists as part of the school’s annual arts celebration, ArtFest.
During ArtFest, which will take place April 12 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the school, 635 South St., hallways will be transformed into art galleries showcasing pieces from all grade levels. The evening’s events also will include a raffle, student performances from each grade level and a silent auction, with a lunch at Davidson’s Soda Shop with the Davidson College Wildcat’s men’s basketball coach Bob McKillop up for auction.
This year’s event features the South Street Square Live Performers. Every 10 minutes a student will give an instrumental, vocal or poetry-reading performance.
In the days leading up to the event, select student artwork will be displayed at the State Employees Credit Union, 20651 Catawba Ave., Cornelius.
