CHARLOTTE – Former and current military and family will have a chance to learn about Veteran’s Affairs services at the Veteran’s information fair Saturday, April 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at VFW Post 9488, 2831 The Plaza.
W.B. Bill Hefner VA Medical Center’s Rural Health program representatives will provide health-care education and registration. The VA Regional Office will answer questions and provide benefits information. The Vet Centers provide counseling and support services for combat veterans.
Veterans not enrolled for VA health care benefits or would like to file a claim should bring copies of their DD Form 214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty to attach to applications.
VA personnel will help with enrollment applications, claims, forms requests and getting online services.
