Ritz hosts cocoa cooking camps
CHARLOTTE – Cocoa Lab, the cooking-class kitchen for Bar Cocoa at the Ritz-Carlton Charlotte, 201 E. Trade St., will offer Camp Cocoa for ages 15 to 18. Sessions will be July 9-13 and 16-20 and Aug. 6-10 and 13-17, daily from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Campers will learn the art of sweet dessert from equipment, safety and sanitation to the basic building blocks of pie dough, cupcake batter, icings, breakfasts and cookies. Each session costs $550, including daily lunch and a chef’s apron.

HUNTERSVILLE – Discovery Place KIDS, 105 Gilead Road, offers camps for ages 2-8 with one-week sessions June through August. The camp theme changes each week, from art to animals, math and science.
