CHARLOTTE – Mecklenburg County is creating a customer support team to help with revaluation appeals. Additional tools are now available to help the 42,000 residents who have filed appeals understand the process and why decisions are made.

A team of appraisers, customer service and management staff will handle phone calls about appeals. This special appeals support line can be reached at 704-432-7250 or by calling CharMeck 311.

Residents can find details about the appeals process, how property was valued, instructions for appealing and frequently asked questions online at appeals.CharMeck.org.

The board of equalization and review meets Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays beginning at 9 a.m. until June 4.
