HUNTERSVILLE – The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission will hold an open house Wednesday, April 25, at the McGuire nuclear power plant’s Energy Explorium, 13339 Hagers Ferry Road, at 6:30 p.m.

The commission found in its study that McGuire operated safely in 2011. The plant met safety regulations and protected the environment and neighbors, according to a news release from the commission. Experts will present their safety-study findings and answer questions.
