HUNTERSVILLE – The Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce honored Lake Norman Chrysler Jeep Dodge, The Range at Lake Norman and Our Towns Habitat for Humanity board President Mal Murray as Champions of Diversity for exemplifying diversity and inclusion Wednesday, April 18, at Birkdale Golf Club.
The chamber also nominated Our Towns Habitat for Humanity, Champion Tire and Wheel and former Cornelius Commissioner Thurman Ross as diversity champions.
Foster’s Frame and Art Gallery owner John Foster, McIntosh Law Firm founder Bob McIntosh, former Cornelius Mayor Nannie Potts, Wendy Moran of Peoples Bank and Christopher Hailey of Central Piedmont Community College served as judges.
James Donaldson, an artist, poet, retired teacher and Smithville native, delivered the breakfast’s keynote speech.
