CORNELIUS – Cornelius Police say Stephanie Hall, 22, of Charlotte, falsely reported a crime on Sunday, April 15.

Hall told police that someone grabbed her from behind while she was walking near Catawba Avenue and Holiday Lane and stole $40. Police arrested Hall after investigating the area and finding inconsistencies with her story. Hall had an outstanding warrant for arrest for misdemeanor larceny. Police brought Hall to the Mecklenburg County Jail on $1,050 bond.
