The four members of Girl Scout Troop 1260 will soon be Gold Award recipients.

Woodlawn senior Dana Neidinger, of Huntersville, refurbished the Loaves & Fishes pantry at First Presbyterian Church in Charlotte. She plans to attend Carleton College in Northfield, Minn.



Hough junior Chelsea Lemus is renovating an outdoor play area of the Lake Norman YMCA for her Gold Award project.

Cato Middle College High School senior Danielle Martin developed a website to encourage young people to read. She plans to attend George Washington University in the fall.

Hough senior Annie Barker, of Cornelius, executed a health fair to raise awareness of childhood health issues. In the fall, she plans to attend UNC Greensboro.
