Anne Baron-Houseman

HUNTERSVILLE – Anne Baron-Houseman, 41, died Feb. 23, 2012, after a battle with cancer.

Baron-Houseman was a surgical services educator and registered nurse at Presbyterian Hospital-Huntersville.

Survivors include her sons, Robert James Houseman and Benjamin Christopher Houseman; her sisters Regina Melkonian and husband Armen, Susan Baron, Mary Farrell and husband Mike, Nancy Rose and husband, Jon, Therese Hansen and husband, Brian, and Maria Dykes; brothers Robert Baron and wife, Sunny, Timothy Baron, Andrew Baron and wife, Lois, and Thomas Baron and wife, Debbie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark David Houseman, her parents, Stephen and Therese Mende Baron and brother Stephen Baron.

A funeral mass was held Feb. 27 at St. Mark Catholic Church.

Memorials can be made to the Boy Scouts of America Troop 97, 12311 Braeloch Court, Huntersville, NC 28078 and to the Levine & Dickson Hospice House, 11900 Vanstory Drive.

Peggy Ann Raymer

DAVIDSON – Peggy Ann Raymer, 79, of Charlotte, formerly of Davidson, died Feb. 27, 2012 at The Preston House.

She was born July 9, 1932 in Iredell County to the late John R. Raymer and the late Clete McLain Raymer. She graduated from Davidson High School and Centre College, where she was president of the women’s junior class and women’s student body. She taught math in several schools before coming to Central Piedmont Community College.

She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Charlotte and Circle 6.

Survivors include nieces and nephews, Lawrence Raymer, William Wilkerson, Joanna Raymer McMurray, Dorothy Raymer Kittredge and Shelley Raymer Dove.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, John M. Raymer, Jack Little Raymer, Ruth Raymer Gile, Rachel Raymer Wilkerson, Mourine Raymer and Henrietta Raymer as well as nieces and nephews, Patricia Elaine Raymer Rankin, John McLain Raymer, Jr., Richard Tillman Raymer and John Ashburn Raymer.

Memorials can be made to Centre College, 600 W. Walnut St. Danville, KY 40422.

A graveside service was held Feb. 29 at Oakwood Cemetery, Statesville, with the Rev. Rick Felts officiating.
