DAVIDSON – Davidson Elementary School students will kick off a new school tradition.
A 19,000-pound spirit rock was delivered to the school’s campus March 8. The rock will be used to promote school spirit and can be reserved by parents to paint a message for their child’s birthday or other special occasions. A 24-hour long reservation for the rock may be made in the school’s office.
Vulcan Materials in Concord donated the rock. Layton Holsinger and his company, Layton Tree and Crane Service, placed the rock at the front of the school.
