Ronnie J. Davis

CHARLOTTE – Ronnie “R.D.” Jay Davis, 65, died March 12, 2012, at the Levine Dickson Hospice House.

Born July 31, 1946, in Kinston, he served in the US Air Force and owned R.D. Services.

Survivors include his daughter, Nicole Gibson and husband, Steve, of Johnson City, Tenn.; granddaughter, Emily; and siblings, Betha Croom and husband, Seth, of Charlotte, Teresa Moore of Belmont, Donna Hines and husband, Mike, of Stanley, and Glenda Trager of Durham.

Services were held March 17 in Iron Station.

Edward L. Ristaino

CORNELIUS – Edward Lawrence Ristaino, 63, died March 16, 2012, as the result of a hot air balloon accident in Georgia.

Born Dec. 6, 1949, in Monmouth County, N.J., he was a son of the late John Patsy Ristaino and Marie Parisi Ristaino.

He worked in the cardiology research lab at Duke Hospital and was a perfusionist at CMC-Northeast in Concord.

Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Ruth; sons, Damien Ristaino, of Charlotte, and John Dominic Ristaino, of Naples, Fla.; brothers, John Ristaino and wife, Bernadette, of Borne, Texas, and Dominic Ristaino and wife, Pam, of Charlotte; sister, Evelyn Ristaino of Charlotte; two grandchildren; three nephews; and two nieces.

Services were held Sunday, March 25, at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kristie Darling officiating.

Donald L. Hill

CONCORD – Donald Luther Hill, 70, died March 17, 2012.

Born Aug. 20, 1941 in Mecklenburg County, he was a son of the late Samuel L. and Jonnie Holcomb Hill.

He worked for Shanklin A/C, APT Industries and Philip Morris.

Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Harriett Hunter Hill; and son, Gregory Scott Hill.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela O. Hill; daughter, Teresa Turner and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Taylor, Michala, Scotti and Reagann; brother, Dean Hill and wife, Kim; and sisters, Nancy Harrison and husband, Bill, and Pat Snodgrass and husband, Frankie.

Services were held March 20 at Grace Covenant Church in Cornelius, with the Rev. Jay Smith officiating.

Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, Huntersville, was in charge.

Evelyn Elizabeth Howard Wilhelm

HUNTERSVILLE – Evelyn Elizabeth Howard Wilhelm, 91, of Huntersville, died Saturday, March 24.

Born Feb. 21, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Mary Howard. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Kermit Wilhelm, along with siblings, Margaret Cobb, Jack Howard and Alda Barnette.

Survivors include her son, Doug Wilhelm and wife, Joann, of Cornelius; daughter, Kay Ragan and husband, John, of Denver; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.

Services were held Wednesday, March 28 at Gilead ARP with the Rev. Robert Hunter officiating. Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, Huntersville, was in charge.
