Earlier this month, 210 Davidson Elementary School fifth-graders, parents and teachers embarked on a three-day trip to Washington, D.C. The group visited many memorials and museums, including the newly dedicated Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, and met N.C. Congressman Mel Watt. Four Davidson Elementary students also participated in the wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
