CHARLOTTE – A poll asking students, parents and community members for input on the 2013-14 school calendar will remain online until 11:59 p.m. Monday, March 26.

The poll and two calendar options can be found on the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools home page, www.cms.k12.nc.us, under Calendar Poll.

A committee of teachers, principals, administrators, parents and community members designed the two calendars with various options for teacher workdays, annual leave days and holidays throughout the 215-day school year.

After the polling period concludes, Interim Superintendent Hugh Hattabaugh will review the results, evaluate comments submitted by staff, parents and community members and could make changes to either calendar. He will recommend one calendar for a school board vote at the April 24 school board meeting.
