HUNTERSVILLE – On Tuesday, March 13, children’s book author and Cornelius resident Elisabeth Davis visited Torrence Creek Elementary School to sign her four books, including her newest book “Mo, A Throw Away Puppy,” at the school’s spring Family Fun Luau, part of the school’s book fair.
Prior to the fair, Davis spent time with students encouraging them to write and explaining how she got her start in the publishing business. Her books began as a Christmas gift to her young grandchildren, but quickly became popular with her friends. Last spring, she began publishing under the name Grizzlie Books.
All proceeds from Davis’ book are donated to three animal rescue centers across the country. Davis’ books are available through her website, www.grizzliebooks.com, through Main Street Books in Davidson, at www.amazon.com in physical and e-book format and www.barnesandnoble.com.
