HUNTERSVILLE – Police are looking for a man they say pulled a woman from her car last week and tried to rape her before she escaped.
The woman told police she stopped at a stop sign in the 13299 block of Reese Boulevard when a man approached the car and pulled her out through the driver’s side window. The man dragged her into some nearby bushes and attempted to rape her, but she fought back by biting his hand as he tried to cover her mouth and shot him with pepper spray. The man then ran away.
The suspect was described as a white man in his mid 40s or 50s with unkempt graying or salt and pepper hair and beard. He has a bite wound on his hand as well.
Huntersville Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the attack or knows anything about it to contact Lt. Kevin Johnston at 704-464-5400.
