Visit Lake Norman, Everest Gymnastics Training Center, Cornelius PARC, and Hough High School will host the first ever Everest Classic Event March 3-4 at Hough High School in Cornelius. The two-day competition brings in gymnasts from across the country and is estimated to generate more than $134,000 in visitor spending. Four hotels have been secured as official event hotels: the Clarion Inn and the Hampton Inn both in Cornelius, the Homewood Suites in Davidson, and the Holiday Inn Express in Huntersville. Visit Lake Norman also secured restaurant discounts for participants.
